Broken Ankles and Nerf Parties: How The Nerf Guys Keep Going

If you’ve visited my reviews page, you might notice one bad review. It came after I cancelled a party, so I want to explain what happened.

Why I Cancelled a Party

I cancelled the booking nine days before the party, for two reasons:

  1. I broke my ankle.
  2. The customer hadn’t paid a deposit.

I emailed them to explain. Understandably, they were disappointed. However, their review didn’t mention my broken ankle, even though they knew about it. I’d rather customers hear the full story from me.

Running Nerf Parties on One Good Leg

So how have I managed Nerf parties with a broken ankle? Luckily, I have great friends. They drive me to parties and let me boss them around while I’m there. I’m incredibly grateful for their help.

Even so, the parties have been tough. I can’t fix obstacles when they fall over. I can’t join in and battle your kids either. Thankfully, my friends can!

Growing the Team

Better still, The Nerf Guys now has employees. When I’m unavailable, my team can step in and take on your kids in an epic Nerf battle.

This also means we can run more than one Nerf party at the same time. In fact, this is shaping up to be a year of growth.

Looking Ahead

2022 may start with a broken ankle, but it will end with a bigger and more successful business.
