What Nerf Gun package do you recommend
Our recommendations are based entirely on your children. We do find that our 90-minute parties are generally better received than the 60-minute parties, 60 minutes often feels too short, 2-hour parties often feel too long, where 90 minutes is the sweet spot. However for events for people 16 and over, stick with the 60-minute parties, You don’t have the same energy as the kids.
We have 4 different types of parties
Pistol parties - excellent for 5 and up. We use nice simple Nerf guns and the kids aren’t distracted by the Nerf equipment they physically can’t use
Blaster parties - I recommend these for 8 + this is where we use the big Nerf guns, some of them are a little harder than others but the kids absolutely love these ones!
Rival Nerf guns - These are powerful and intense, I only recommend these for 12+ Nerf themself suggest 14+ but I have had a good time with these when playing with 12 year olds.
Deluxe - Any age! It’s a great tool for the kids. and allows us to use different types of toy guns, like gel blasters and laser pistols too.
Do you have an alternative for those who cannot use the guns?
Yes! We also provide woollen snowballs for the younger (and sometimes the older) children to use instead.
What is the youngest age that players can be?
Ideally, there is no minimum age, but I often find children younger than 5 struggle or are unable to use the Nerf and x-shot equipment, we are always on the lookout for simple equipment to use so that everyone can join in.
What do you provide?
Lots of Nerf guns (obviously!) and bullets, obstacles for the players to hide behind, woollen snowballs, safety glasses, team vests and - most importantly - the games!
How dangerous is Nerf?
Not at all! Nerf guns fling foam darts and do not hurt. For younger kids, they may sometimes experience an initial shock and act like it hurts, but more often than not they will keep playing despite any tears! We have run over 700 parties and have yet to have an accident involving the Nerf guns. (We have had kids not looking where they are going and run into other children)
Can you book a location for me?
We are happy to contact halls for you provided we have time to do it. In our busy seasons, we may suggest that you look for the halls. However, we can no longer book the hall on your behalf due to insurance restrictions.
What is a good location?
I usually find that your local community centres, dance halls or sports halls are great for our Nerf parties. If you are struggling to find a good location, we are more than happy to help you with your search, there are a selection of halls we are happy to book for you.
How big should my location be?
To simplify it we say no smaller than 6m x 10m for 20 kids. However, for an optimal game, you want about the size of a 5 by 5 football pitch which is 33m x 18m. Basically the bigger the hall, the more room for the kids to run around.
Can I bring my own gun?
I am afraid not, our insurance does not allow us to run games with Nerf guns we do not own or have not inspected. There would not be any time to inspect a Nerf gun before playing.
Can parents participate?
Yes! Yes, they absolutely can - and you know what? We won’t even charge for the parents. Parents play for free (providing we have enough guns, of course) and can shoot their little darlings as much as they please ;)
Why are your Rival parties more expensive than your dart parties?
For every party, I do I set aside some money to cover the replacement of bullets and equipment, Rival bullets and Rival nerf guns just happen to be more expensive. Rival Nerf guns are also very difficult to get hold of.
Can you do parties outside?
Yes we can do parties outside; however, we do have a few additional rules:
1: The land must be privately owned; we cannot run parties in public spaces unless it is part of an event such as a festival.
2: There must be no throughways, as we are not insured for any passersby
3: Must be on grass and kept short to make bullet finding easier
4: All animal waste must be removed.
5: Not all weather is suitable for all parts of Nerf, we can run Nerf games in sun, wind and light rain, however inflatables can only be used in dry days with little to no wind. If the weather is unsutable due to heavy rain, wind or other weather, we can delay your party for no extra charge providing part preperation has not begun. If party preparation has begun, there will be an extra charge to delay your party. Outdoor parties are booked at the customers risk.
If a party is delayed due to weather issues, then we are happy to fit you into our current schedule. Please note with busier periods, we cannot guarantuee your party will be within a certain timeframe
